Washington Sundar replaces Deepak Chahar in ODI squad

IND vs SA : The BCCI's senior selection committee has included all-rounder Washington Sundar in place of fast bowler Deepak Chahar for the remaining two matches of the ODI series against South Africa. Chahar had a stiff back after the third and final T20I match against South Africa in Indore and was not included in India's playing XI in the first ODI in Lucknow. Washington played his last match for India in the ODI format in February this year. Apart from taking five wickets, he has also scored 57 runs in four ODIs so far.

Deepak will now go back to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and the medical team there will monitor his injury. India had to face defeat by 9 runs in the rain-hit first ODI. Both the teams will now play the second match on Sunday in Ranchi. After this, the third and final ODI will be played on 11 October at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
