Due to this there will be water problem in some areas of Delhi. As soon as the water of Yamuna decreases, we will try to start them as soon as possible.

Which areas of Delhi will make a difference?

According to information, Delhi's Wazirabad water treatment plant has a capacity of 120 million gallons per day and Chandrawal water treatment plant has a capacity of 90 million gallons per day, which will remain closed till Yamuna's water level returns to normal. Overall there will be a less product of 260 MGD water.

Water is supplied to Central Delhi, North Delhi and South Delhi from the three water treatment plants that have been closed. ie Delhi's Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Karol Bagh, Paharganj, NDMC area, old and new Rajinder Nagar, Patel Nagar, Baljit Nagar, Prem Nagar, Indrapuri, Kalkaji, Govindpuri, Tughlakabad, Sangam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar Prahladpur, Ramlila Maidan, Water supply will be affected in Delhi Gate, Subhash Park, Model Town, Gulabi Bagh, Punjabi Bagh, Jahangirpuri, Moolchand, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Burari and surrounding areas, Cantt area and South Delhi areas.

The closure of the Wazirabad water treatment plant will directly affect the water supply in areas like Yamuna Vihar, Bhajanpura, Shahdara, Dilshad Garden, Seelampur, Geeta Colony in North East Delhi. So the closure of Chandrawal water treatment plant will affect the water supply in Old Delhi's Chandni Chowk, Civil Line, Daryaganj, New Delhi and surrounding areas.

Due to the closure of Okhla Water Treatment Plant, there will be shortage of water supply in Kalkaji, Govindpuri, Tughlakabad, Sangam Vihar and Ambedkar Nagar, Moolchand, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Cantt area and many areas of South Delhi.
