A major road accident occurred on Saturday in the Chidiya Bawdi area near the old toll plaza in Kishangarh, Ajmer district, Rajasthan. A truck loaded with gas cylinders overturned on the highway after one of its tires suddenly burst. Following the impact, 145 gas cylinders were scattered across the national highway, leading to a complete disruption of traffic for a significant period. According to officials, no casualties were reported, and the situation was brought under control promptly.
Tire Burst Leads to Loss of Control
According to reports, the truck was transporting a consignment of gas cylinders from Barna village to a gas agency located in Kishangarh. As the vehicle reached the Chidiya Bawdi area near the old toll, a tire burst unexpectedly. The sudden failure caused the driver to lose control of the heavy vehicle, resulting in the truck flipping over onto the side of the road. Witnesses reported a loud sound as the vehicle overturned and cylinders spilled out.
Scattering of 145 Gas Cylinders
The truck was carrying approximately 145 gas cylinders at the time of the accident. Upon overturning, the cylinders were flung across the road surface. The sight of scattered gas cylinders caused immediate panic among nearby residents and other commuters due to the potential risk of an explosion. However, emergency responders confirmed that there were no instances of gas leakage or fire, preventing a more severe disaster.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from the Madanganj Police Station rushed to the spot, while aSI Khemaram of Madanganj Police stated that the department was alerted about the overturned vehicle near the old toll in the Mirza Bawdi area. The police team secured the perimeter and assessed the damage. Preliminary investigations by the authorities confirmed that the accident was strictly caused by the mechanical failure of the tire.
