Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Lucknow on Friday. Upon his arrival in the capital city, he attended the crucial state executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party. This important meeting witnessed the presence of senior state leadership, district presidents, and key office bearers of the party. While addressing the party workers during the executive meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a clear and assertive message, stating that the time has come to form the government for a consecutive third term. Appreciating the party cadres, Amit Shah remarked that the real masters of the BJP are our workers, to whom I offer my salutations and greetings. Highlighting a significant historical date in Uttar Pradesh, he noted that the thirtieth of October holds a massive contribution, as on this very day in the year 1990, bullets were fired at Lord Rama devotees in Ayodhya.
Targeting Opposition Over Ram Mandir
Launching a sharp attack on the opposition, Home Minister Amit Shah questioned with what face they talk about forming the government, while he alleged that the opposition had opened fire on Rama devotees, whereas the Bharatiya Janata Party successfully constructed the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Amit Shah further stated that the public will never forgive those who fired bullets at Rama devotees, and even their third generation won't be pardoned by the public. Remembering the late leader Kalyan Singh, Shah said that Kalyan Singh facilitated the demolition of the disputed structure without worrying about his own government. Discussing the political scenario of Uttar Pradesh, Amit Shah made a major statement asserting that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is like the foot of Angad and no one can remove it. He expressed absolute confidence that the BJP government is going to be formed again in the state and there is no confusion regarding this outcome.
Focus on UCC and Election Strategy
Continuing his address to the executive committee, Amit Shah announced that once the party forms the government for the third consecutive time in Uttar Pradesh, the Uniform Civil Code, known as UCC, will be implemented in the state, while responding to the allegations leveled after losing elections, Amit Shah stated that after losing a match, accusations are now being hurled at the umpire claiming that votes were stolen. He asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party is fully prepared for a discussion in Parliament on this matter. Shah challenged the opposition parties to come forward and said that we can call a special session as we're fully prepared to answer every single question and discuss the matter openly in Parliament. Recalling the early struggling days of the party, Amit Shah shared that back in the year 2014, the party had only forty-four MLAs and there was immense despair at that time. He mentioned that he personally traveled down to the tehsil level, and once the party organization was fixed, they won seventy-three seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014 with forty-one percent vote share. He further recalled that when demonetization took place in the year 2017, Akhilesh Yadav couldn't sleep the entire night, and the party secured three hundred twelve seats by garnering forty percent of the votes. Shah urged the party workers that the time has come to replicate that stellar electoral performance once again.
Crucial Preparations for UP Assembly Polls
It's noteworthy that keeping the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections of the year 2027 in mind, the Bharatiya Janata Party is actively formulating its organizational roadmap and core electoral strategy.
