Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on the opposition over the Jan Mahabhiyog program recently organized by the INDIA bloc against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He explicitly stated that the opposition has made a mockery of the real parliament by creating a fake parliament and staging a mock parliament. He added that if they're serious, the government is fully prepared to call a special session of parliament to hold a comprehensive discussion on SIR with Rahul Gandhi. The Home Minister accused the Congress party of constantly disrupting parliamentary proceedings and not allowing the house to function smoothly.
Continuing his aggressive stance, Amit Shah said that the Congress party has always supported unconstitutional governments and parallel parliaments. He alleged that by creating a fake parliament and staging a mere pretense of a debate, they've insulted the actual parliament. Addressing Rahul Gandhi directly, the Home Minister asserted that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ready to discuss every single issue on the floor of the house. He questioned the opposition, stating that they've completely stalled parliament and virtually taken it hostage. He demanded that parliament be allowed to function normally and undergo proper debate so that the citizens of the country can witness for themselves who is speaking the truth.
While addressing the closing ceremony of the Chhattisgarh State Festival held in Nava Raipur, Amit Shah also shed light on the political history and development of the state. He recalled that it was former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who created the state of Chhattisgarh in the year two thousand when the development of this region had stalled, and subsequently Prime Minister Modi worked tirelessly to transform and nurture it. Today, he extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the people of the state, noting that Chhattisgarh has successfully become free from the menace of Naxalism and is striding forward firmly on the path of rapid development and progress.
On this proud occasion in Chhattisgarh, Amit Shah leveled a major political accusation against the Congress party, while he stated that the day was a moment of immense pride, achievement, and collective resolution. He emphasized that the nation takes great pride in the legacy of Atal Ji, and their firm resolve under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is to build a fully developed Chhattisgarh. During his address, Amit Shah accused Congress of having historically supported Naxalism, which hindered the peace and prosperity of the region for a long time.
Meanwhile, amidst this intense political standoff, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi responded by throwing a direct counter-challenge at the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while writing on his official social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Rahul Gandhi stated that twenty four hours have passed since he issued a challenge to the Prime Minister. Pointing out that BJP leaders often label the opposition as anti-national, Rahul Gandhi invited the Prime Minister to choose any venue of his choice on any public stage to engage in a direct face-to-face debate to determine who the real anti-national is.
Elaborating on his challenge, Rahul Gandhi wrote that the nation needs clarity on whose connection with foreign forces exists and what exact nature that connection is. He proposed that both of them would meet face-to-face in the presence of mainstream media and the youth of the country across a table, where the Prime Minister would sit on one side and he would sit on the other. He added that the Prime Minister has the absolute freedom to choose whoever he wishes to act as the judge for the debate, following which they can hold a transparent discussion before the public.
