Ayodhya is set to witness a historic moment today as Prime Minister Narendra. Modi will hoist the flag on the spire of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. For this grand event, the holy city of Ayodhya has been transformed into an impenetrable fortress, with stringent and unprecedented security arrangements in place. Every corner is under surveillance, ensuring that not even a bird can fly without notice, as meticulous arrangements have been made.
Impenetrable Security Ring
In anticipation of Prime Minister Modi's presence, a vast and impenetrable security ring has been established in Ayodhya. A total of 6970 security personnel have been deployed, including 14 Superintendents of Police (SPs), 30 Additional Superintendents of Police (ASPs), 90 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 242 male Inspectors, 1060 Sub-Inspectors, 80 female Sub-Inspectors, 3090 male Head Constables, and 448 female Head Constables from various districts. This massive force is tasked with ensuring the peaceful and secure conduct of the event.Special Security Units and Technical Expertise
The security arrangements also include the deployment of specialized units. Two teams of ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) commandos and two teams of NSG (National Security Guard) snipers will be strategically positioned, while On top of that, an anti-drone unit and approximately 90 technical experts are part of the security cordon, ready to counter any aerial or technical threats. To reinforce Ayodhya's transformation into a cantonment, extensive use of modern security equipment is being made. Bomb detection teams, dog squads, VVIP security inspection teams, traffic management units, fire units, and response teams have been deployed, while mines teams, BDS (Bomb Disposal Squad) units, X-ray scanning machines, CCTV modules, high-response vans, patrolling units, and ambulance units are also in place. Hand-held metal detection devices, vehicle-mounted scanners, and baggage X-ray scanners have been provided for special checks, while continuous drone surveillance and electronic vigilance are also being maintained.Prime Minister's Detailed Itinerary
Prime Minister Modi's schedule in Ayodhya today is packed with significant events. At approximately 10 AM, he will visit the Saptmandir and offer prayers at the temples dedicated to Maharishi Vashishtha, Maharishi Vishwamitra, Maharishi Agastya, Maharishi Valmiki, Devi Ahilya, Nishadraj Guha, and Mata Shabari. Following this, at around 11 AM, he will also visit the Mata Annapurna Temple. This historic flag hoisting will take place during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat on Vivah Panchami, the auspicious fifth day of the bright half of the Margashirsha month, commemorating the marriage of Shri Ram and Mata Sita, while this timing is considered extremely propitious. The flag to be hoisted will be a triangular one, 10 feet high and 20 feet long, while it will feature an image of the shining sun, symbolizing the brilliance and valor of Lord Shri Ram. On top of that, the image of a Kovindara tree with 'Om' inscribed on it will be present. This sacred saffron flag will convey a message of dignity, unity, and cultural continuity, embodying the ideals of Ramrajya.
The flag will be hoisted on the spire, built in the traditional North Indian Nagara architectural style, which points to the grandeur of Indian temple architecture. The 800-meter 'parikota' (circumambulatory path) surrounding the temple, designed in the South Indian architectural tradition, demonstrates the architectural diversity of the temple complex. On the outer walls of the main temple within the complex, there are 87 intricately stone-carved episodes from Lord Shri Ram's life, based on the Valmiki Ramayana. Traffic management is also a crucial aspect of the security arrangements. A total of 16 Traffic Inspectors, 130 Traffic Sub-Inspectors, and 820 traffic police personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow. 38 personnel for parking management and barrier modules for crowd control are also in place. Special protocols are being followed for VIP routes and temple complex security, and police deployment has been ensured for route diversions. In view of the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Ayodhya on Monday. He personally reviewed the preparations for the event taking place within the temple premises.
