Ramdev emphasized that he doesn't wish to escalate any controversy, while following their meeting, the former MP's misunderstandings were cleared, and the matter has been put to rest. Defending the quality of Patanjali products, Baba Ramdev asserted that their ghee can be tested in any laboratory across the world. Singh further stated that while Patanjali brands are spread globally, several countries have banned their products and multiple court cases are pending against them. He had even urged the government to take notice of these issues, which prompted this detailed response from Ramdev.
The Science of Ghee Production at Patanjali
Explaining the manufacturing process to the media, Baba Ramdev detailed how Patanjali operates, while he stated that the company collects millions of liters of cow milk from across the country. The process involves extracting cream from the milk. The remaining low-fat milk is then sold or converted into milk powder. Also, this milk is used to produce curd, buttermilk, and paneer. In total, 5 by-products are created through this cycle. Ramdev took a swipe at critics, questioning their understanding of how ghee is produced, while he noted that India has more than 15 crore cattle, and these animals are the source for the 5 by-products, including ghee, that Patanjali prepares.
