Actually, MP Khichad had gone to the statue unveiling program of freedom fighter Sheolal Khichad in Bakra village on June 25. In the program, the MP had said that Mahatma Gandhi had got Subhash Chandra Bose assassinated. Only one had to become the Prime Minister, Gandhi convinced Bose for the election, but got him killed. After the video surfaced, there is a discussion in the political circles about this statement of the MP. The MPs are also saying that it has been a tradition since the time of King Maharajas that the son rules by killing the father. This sentiment was there even during the time of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Explanation given on increasing controversy over the statement
If there was a dispute over the statement of MP Khichad, then it has been clarified on Monday. The MP said that was not what I meant to say. I meant to say that Subhash Chandra Bose should have been the first Prime Minister after independence. If Gandhi wanted, Subhash Chandra Bose could have become the Prime Minister, but Gandhi preferred Jawaharlal Nehru. I meant to say in common language that it was because of Gandhi that Subhash Chandra Bose could not become the Prime Minister. Gandhi politically murdered Subhash Chandra Bose. It was not the intention that Gandhi had Bose killed or murdered.
MP said - twisted the statement and presented it
As the controversy escalated, MP Narendra Kumar Khichar said that the meaning of saying was something else which was twisted and presented. Mahatma Gandhi is the father of our nation. I apologize if any such words have been missed. We are going to follow the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, we are patriots. I have full respect for Mahatma Gandhi.
