BJP Slams INDIA Alliance: No Vision Only Division Ahead Of June 8 Meeting

The political landscape in India has intensified as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a comprehensive verbal offensive against the INDIA alliance just before its scheduled meeting on June 8 in Delhi. BJP leaders have characterized the opposition bloc as a coalition suffering from no vision and only division. The ruling party claims that the alliance is riddled with internal strife and a profound lack of coordination, which has rendered it a mere paper entity with no real ground presence. They pointed towards the visible friction among allies in states like Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu as evidence of this crumbling structure.

Nishikant Dubey Questions Alliance Existence

BJP Member of Parliament Nishikant Dubey has raised serious doubts about the current status and relevance of the INDIA alliance. Commenting on the upcoming June 8 gathering in the national capital, Dubey questioned who actually remains a part of the INDI alliance today. He noted that the CPM has already declared that they aren't together with the bloc. Sharing his observations from a recent visit to Ranchi, Dubey stated that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is preparing to field its own separate candidate, indicating a clear rift with its partners. He further mentioned that the DMK has moved to separate seating arrangements and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is nowhere to be found in the current coordination efforts. According to Dubey, the alliance has lost its very existence and is failing to maintain any semblance of unity.

Internal Rifts and Lack of Purpose

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla echoed these sentiments, stating that the INDI alliance lacks a clear motive and is defined only by its internal divisions. He specifically highlighted the ongoing conflict between the JMM and the Congress party over a Rajya Sabha seat as a prime example of their discord. Poonawalla also pointed out that the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) is reportedly not attending the June 8 meeting. He took a sarcastic jab at the coalition, remarking that while the alliance exists on paper, it's nowhere to be seen in reality, while adding to this, BJP State President Sanjay Sarawgi described the situation within the INDI alliance as a stampede, noting a total lack of coordination among the members while asserting that the NDA remains a united front.

TMC and DMK Under Fire

The critique extended to regional dynamics as well. West Bengal Minister Agnimitra Paul commented on the deteriorating state of the TMC, claiming that the party has effectively slipped out of Mamata Banerjee's hands. She questioned the whereabouts of the INDIA alliance, noting that the DMK isn't participating in the upcoming meeting. Paul asserted that the people of the country have completely sidelined and rejected the INDIA alliance, leaving them with no political ground. She suggested that the TMC leadership is heading to Delhi only to create a commotion rather than engage in constructive alliance building.

Theater of Disgruntled Politicians

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya stated that the future of the INDI alliance is dark. He argued that whether they hold meetings or not, their defeat is inevitable because their gatherings aren't for public welfare but for self-interest and opposing the BJP. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi described the INDIA alliance as a theater of disgruntled political performers. He remarked that when a coalition becomes a stage for frustrated politicians, such scenes of confusion are bound to happen. Naqvi stated that their gathering of arrangements is miles away from the riverbank of public mandate. He concluded by saying that while these leaders talk about fighting Prime Minister Modi, they spend most of their time fighting amongst themselves, wishing them luck in their internal struggles.
