Bihar Political Crisis: The JDU-BJP alliance may break once again in Bihar. There is news that by August 11, both may separate and the government of JDU and RJD can be formed again in the state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked all his MPs and MLAs to reach Patna in the next two days. On the other hand, RJD is also following this footsteps. He has asked all the MLAs to stay in Patna. According to sources, Nitish spoke to Sonia Gandhi over telephone. A new government can be formed in the state by August 11. Sources are also telling that on Tuesday itself, Tejashwi Yadav will hold a meeting with all his MLAs. However, the JDU leaders have not said anything official about the future of the government.

Why is Nitish angry with BJP?

According to sources, he is not getting a free hand in running the government. After the lamp episode, the RCP is also upset with the BJP.

In the last few months, Nitish has distanced himself from many important meetings. A few months ago, he stayed away from the meeting called by the PM on Corona.

Recently, a banquet in honor of former President Ram Nath Kovind did not even go to the swearing-in ceremony of President Draupadi Murmu.

Not even meeting the BJP leaders of Bihar in the state. CM is attending programs at the local level, but he is neither openly talking to BJP leaders nor meeting them.

Nitish became the Chief Minister even after getting less seats in 2020

In 2020, Nitish's party JDU had reduced 28 seats and came down to 43, while BJP's 21 seats increased to 74. Despite this, the BJP had made Nitish the chief minister. NDA got 125 seats and Mahagathbandhan got 110 seats.

Nitish's political career of 22 years, became CM seven times

Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister of Bihar for the first time on 3 March 2000, but due to lack of majority, he had to resign after 7 days on 10 March. BJP had support.

In 2005, Nitish Kumar contested the elections with the BJP and formed a government of absolute majority. Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the second time on 24 November 2005 and completed his term as CM till 24 November 2010.

The people of Bihar trusted Nitish Kumar even in the 2010 elections and he took the reins of Bihar for the third time on 26 November 2010.

Nitish Kumar resigned from his post on 17 May 2014 due to not performing well in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and made JDU's Jitan Ram Manjhi the Chief Minister.

In 2015, Jitan Ram Manjhi had to resign and on 22 February 2015, Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister for the fourth time. He remained in his post till 19 November 2015.

After separating from the BJP in the 2015 elections, Nitish's party became a part of the Grand Alliance and won a majority. After winning the election, Nitish took oath as Chief Minister for the fifth time on 20 November 2015, but he left the RJD midway and resigned from his post on 26 July 2017.

After separating from RJD, Nitish Kumar once again came with BJP. After this, he took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the sixth time on 27 July 2017 and completed his term.

NDA got majority in the 2020 elections and became CM for the seventh time.
