Opposition Gathering at Connaught Place and Rajghat March
Despite the legal actions and the controversy of the previous day, opposition members of parliament gathered once again on Thursday. The meeting took place at Connaught Place, where leaders were invited under the pretext of a lunch gathering, while in addition to Congress MPs, representatives from several other opposition parties were present, including the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi Party (SP), Trinamool Congress (TMC), and the Left Front. To facilitate the movement of these leaders, 3 buses were arranged for their transportation. Following the lunch, it was announced that the opposition MPs, led by Rahul Gandhi, would proceed to Rajghat. There was an anticipation among Congress leaders that the Delhi Police would intervene and stop them from reaching Rajghat, similar to the actions taken on Wednesday. They expected that such a confrontation would lead to further viral videos and social media content. However, the police didn't block their path on Thursday, and the march proceeded peacefully to its destination.

BJP Retaliates with Protests and Press Conference
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responded strongly to the allegations of police assault and the conduct of Congress leaders. The BJP Mahila Morcha organized a protest to voice their anger against the alleged misbehavior with female police officers. The activists raised slogans against the Congress party and demanded strict legal action against those responsible for the violence, while the BJP emphasized that such behavior toward police personnel, who are responsible for maintaining law and order, is completely unacceptable in a democratic society. To further their point, the BJP held a press conference where they showcased dozens of videos depicting the assault on police personnel and the alleged mistreatment of female officers.
Questions on Human Rights and Elite Culture
During the press conference, BJP spokesperson Siddharth Yadav used the video evidence to launch a direct attack on Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that the footage serves as proof that Rahul Gandhi intends to spread anarchy in the country. Yadav raised a poignant question regarding the human rights of police personnel, asking if they don't deserve the same respect and protection as other citizens. He further criticized what he termed as the 'elite culture' of the Gandhi family, suggesting that they seem to believe that those who don't come from such a background don't feel pain or deserve dignity. The BJP spokesperson questioned why there is a lack of concern for the rights and honor of the police force among the opposition leadership, framing the incident as a clash between responsible governance and political entitlement.
