Elections 2024: Amidst the tussle for Purnia Lok Sabha seat of Bihar, Congress leader Pappu Yadav has made a big announcement. Pappu Yadav said on Saturday that he will file his nomination on April 2 on the demand of the people of Purnia. After this statement of Pappu Yadav, the politics of Bihar has once again heated up. The Purnia seat from where Pappu Yadav is talking about filing nomination has gone to RJD's account and the party has declared Bima Bharti as its candidate from here.

Just a day before, the opposition India Alliance had clarified the situation on 40 Lok Sabha seats of Bihar. In this, RJD has been given 26 seats, Congress 9 and Left 5 seats. Till now everything was fine, but Purnia Lok Sabha seat is also included in the 26 seats that have come to RJD. Meaning, neither Congress will field its candidate from here nor will anyone from the Left party contest, but Pappu Yadav has said many times that he will contest from Purnia only. He says that he can leave the world, but cannot leave Purnia.

Pappu Yadav will file nomination on April 2

Now his statement has come out that he will file nomination from Purnia seat on April 2, but he did not say whether he will file nomination on Congress symbol or will contest as an independent candidate. Pappu Yadav said that on the demand of the people of Purnia, he will file nomination on April 2.

However, there is still suspense on under which party's banner he will be nominated or whether he will file his nomination as an independent candidate. Pappu Yadav said that Congress is his mother and he will continue to serve Congress throughout his life. Talks are going on with the party high command and meaningful results will emerge by the 2nd.

Tejashwi Yadav said that our alliance is with the party, not with the individual.

Amidst the brouhaha over Purnia seat, a statement by Tejashwi Yadav had also come out. Tejashwi had said that his alliance is with the party and not with any particular person. In such a situation, now everyone's eyes are fixed on the decision of the high command of the Congress Party. However, no statement has yet come from Congress regarding Pappu Yadav.
