United States President Donald Trump has once again brought his international achievements into the spotlight while expressing his grievance over not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. Addressing a massive political rally in Florida, Donald Trump claimed that he has successfully resolved and halted a total of eight wars and military conflicts across the globe during his tenure. However, despite these alleged massive diplomatic achievements, he has been deprived of the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize. Donald Trump has publicly voiced his desire and discontent regarding the Nobel Prize on multiple occasions in the past, showing that the disappointment continues to linger in his mind. This time, the US President specifically mentioned the military conflict between India and Pakistan, claiming single-handedly that he brought an end to the rising tensions between the two nuclear-armed nations.

Elaborating further on his claims, US President Donald Trump stated that he had threatened both India and Pakistan with a massive two hundred and fifty percent tariff, amounting to two hundred and fifty percent, to halt their military engagement. While addressing his supporters at the Florida rally, Trump explained that he made it unequivocally clear to both nuclear-armed countries that if their fighting continued, they wouldn't be permitted to conduct any trade or business with the United States. According to Trump, this aggressive trade warning had an immediate and profound impact, ultimately leading to a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. Donald Trump also claimed in his statement that during the course of this particular conflict, a total of eleven aircraft were shot down by the warring sides.

Expressing a sense of injustice over the lack of international appreciation and praise for his alleged diplomatic intervention, Donald Trump remarked during his speech that he had stopped eight wars and asked whether he received the Nobel Prize, answering himself that he didn't, while however, contrary to all these sweeping claims made by Trump, India has categorically and repeatedly rejected these statements. India has consistently dismissed Trump's claims regarding the loss of eleven aircraft during the conflict as completely false and baseless, while On top of that, the Indian government has firmly denied any kind of external diplomatic interference or third-party mediation, reiterating that India's foreign policy has always maintained strategic autonomy.

India has repeatedly reaffirmed that the ceasefire agreement during Operation Sindoor was reached solely and exclusively when Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations, known as the DGMO, reached out to his Indian counterpart and made a formal request to halt military action. The Indian establishment made it clear that this entire process was strictly bilateral and involved no threats or mediation from any foreign leader. This major anti-terror operation was initiated by India in April 2025 as a strong and decisive response to the horrific terrorist attack targeting innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Looking back at the timeline, India officially launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. This critical military campaign served as a vital and targeted response aimed at completely dismantling the terrorist infrastructure operating inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, often referred to as PoK. The core objective of this anti-terror operation was to completely eliminate those terror camps and launchpads that were utilized to plan and execute the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Indian security forces successfully pulverized and destroyed all Pakistan-based terror launchpads during these precise strikes.

Rattled by the total destruction of their terror infrastructure, Pakistan made desperate and futile attempts to retaliate by targeting Indian military installations and civilian areas, while however, India's strong and advanced air defence systems successfully thwarted every single move and malicious attempt made by Pakistan. Even after these failures, when Pakistan refused to mend its ways and continued escalating tensions, India exercised its immense strategic strength by launching aggressive BrahMos missile strikes. India targeted eleven military airbases inside Pakistan using BrahMos missiles, inflicting massive and widespread destruction upon them.

Panicked and deeply terrified by the devastating precision of the Indian BrahMos missile strikes, the Pakistani military establishment completely lost its nerve. Overwhelmed by the severe destruction and mounting pressure, Pakistan ultimately initiated contact and made a desperate phone call to the Indian DGMO, pleading for a ceasefire. It was only following this explicit request and appeal by the Pakistani DGMO that a formal consensus on a ceasefire was reached between the two nations. Thus, India fought its decisive battle against terrorism on its own terms, completely dismissing external pressures and claims made by leaders like Trump while upholding its absolute sovereignty.
