Exciting news is coming in for all the ardent fans of the romantic-drama film 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat'. Released in the year 2025, the film won the hearts of audiences everywhere, and now talks regarding its sequel, 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat 2', have officially begun. Director and writer Milap Zaveri has confirmed that discussions are taking place, and work on the second installment of the film could kick off soon.
Celebration of One Year and Sequel Talks
October 21 marked the completion of one year since the theatrical release of 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat'. To celebrate the milestone of his sleeper hit film, director Milap Zaveri marked the occasion, around the same time a report was published on 'Bollywood Hungama' indicating that a second part of the movie is on the cards. The overwhelming love from the audience has paved the way for the makers to seriously consider a sequel.
What Director Milap Zaveri Said
Speaking about the potential sequel, Milap Zaveri stated that the film is still widely viral on social media platforms. He mentioned that thousands of reels are still being made on the movie today. Whenever he puts up a post, comments immediately pour in from people demanding 'Deewaniyat 2'. Because of this immense public demand, he has discussed the matter with Anshul Garg, Harshvardhan Rane, Sonam Bajwa, and Raghav Sharma. He believes that everything happens at the right time and expressed his firm intention to make the second part in the future, adding that when the right time comes and something magical is meant to happen, things will naturally fall into place.
Other Releases and Original Box Office Success
It's worth noting that following the success of 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat', Milap Zaveri had two other releases, namely 'Masti 4' and 'Tera Yaar Hoon Main', but both failed to make any significant impact at the box office. In stark contrast, the 2025 romantic-drama 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' proved to be a massive commercial success. Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film featured Harshvardhan Rane in the lead role as Vikramaditya Bhonsle, alongside Sonam Bajwa who played the character of Aada Randhawa. On top of that, veteran actors like Shad Randhawa and Sachin Khedekar played pivotal supporting roles in the movie.
Phenomenal Box Office Collection
The film performed exceptionally well at the box office, riding on the phenomenal chemistry between Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa. Globally, the movie raked in an impressive box office collection of approximately 110 to 112 crores. Given the massive commercial success and enduring popularity of the original feature, the news of 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat 2' moving towards development has generated tremendous excitement among moviegoers.
