The Delhi government on Saturday said the capital region's per capita income has increased by nearly 14 per cent in the current financial year to Rs 4,44,768 per annum, which is 158 per cent higher than the national average. Kejriwal government has given this information while releasing the list of Statistics Handbook-2023. The Economic and Statistics Department of Delhi Government has released this booklet containing data on socio-economic parameters of the capital. According to this, the per capita income of Delhi increased to Rs 4,44,768 in the current financial year whereas it was Rs 3,89,529 a year ago. In this way, it has registered a growth of 14 percent on annual basis. But this is 158 percent more than the national average. Planning Department Minister Atishi said on the release of the booklet that despite various obstacles, the Kejriwal government has set new standards in the public service sector in 2023.

He said that the Kejriwal government made significant improvements in public transport services in the capital and last year an average of 41 lakh passengers traveled by buses every day. Atishi said that Delhi is leading the electric vehicle revolution in the country. Currently, 7,200 buses are running on the city roads, of which 1,300 are electric buses. Quoting new statistical data, the Delhi government said that the number of electricity consumers in Delhi increased by about 2.8 lakh in the financial year 2022-23 compared to the financial year 2021-22 and more than one lakh water connections were added.

This is the minimum wage

Under the free electricity scheme of the Kejriwal government, more than 3.41 crore electricity bills of zero amount were made in 2022-23. In the free electricity scheme, monthly electricity usage up to 200 units is free. According to the government statement, Delhi has the highest level of minimum wage in the country. Here, the minimum wage for workers with no skills is Rs 17,494, for those with some skills, it is Rs 19,279 and for those with skills, the minimum wage is Rs 21,215. The government amends it every six months.
