The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned about the weather for the month of April. According to the latest update, the process of warming will continue in North-West, Central and Western India for the next four-five days. However, North India can get some relief from today. The maximum temperatures will remain above normal in April over most parts of North-Western part of the country, Central India, North-Western and West India and North-East.

Warm winds are expected in some parts of West Rajasthan from April 1. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heat wave in some interior parts of Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Odisha. The Meteorological Department says that till April 2, hot winds will blow in Telangana, while in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra-Kutch, Jharkhand, Marathwada till April 3 and in Gujarat this trend will continue till April 4.

Heat intensity may reduce in Delhi-NCR

According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of the current heat wave in Delhi-NCR may reduce in the next few days from Friday, but both day and night temperatures are likely to remain above normal in April. Parts of Northeast India are also likely to remain warmer than normal during April. Temperatures are likely to remain below normal in the south, east parts of central India and southern parts of northeast India.

Chance of rain in these areas

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the North-South Trough from East Uttar Pradesh to Northwest Bay of Bengal, there is a possibility of rain in different areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura and Assam. Due to stoppage of trough and wind over South Peninsular India, rain is also likely over Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Light to moderate rain is very likely at isolated places over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry-Karaikal and southern interiors of Karnataka during the next five days.
