Prime Minister Modi recalled the victory of 20 year old Uzbek Grandmaster Sindarov at the FIDE World Cup in Goa last year. He mentioned the upcoming match in November between Sindarov and India's 20 year old chess champion D. Gukesh, stating that the entire world would be watching this contest. The Prime Minister also extended his best wishes for the Chess Olympiad to be held in Samarkand next month.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted that Uzbekistan, situated at the heart of Central Asia, is the primary center of India's growing engagement with the region, while youth, innovation, inclusive development, and modern technology are shared priorities in the vision of both countries.
