The national capital's iconic protest site, Jantar Mantar, has become the epicenter of a massive demonstration as thousands of students and activists gather to voice their grievances over the NEET paper leak controversy, while the protest, which has seen the active participation of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) along with students from across the country, is centered on the demand for the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Casualties and Legal Action
The intensity of the protest has led to violent face-offs between the demonstrators and the security forces. According to official reports, the clashes have resulted in significant casualties on both sides. Approximately 130 police personnel have sustained injuries while attempting to maintain order and manage the crowd. On the other side, around 65 students are reported to have been injured during the scuffles. Surveillance via Facial Recognition System

Facial Recognition System (FRS) cameras have been installed at strategic points around Jantar Mantar to keep a close watch on every individual entering the protest site. According to police sources, these cameras are being used to identify individuals with prior criminal records who have joined the protest, while this high-tech monitoring is part of a broader strategy to ensure that the demonstration isn't hijacked by elements looking to create chaos.
Identification of Suspects
The use of the Facial Recognition System has already yielded significant results. Police sources reveal that more than 2000 individuals with existing criminal records have been identified through the FRS cameras at Jantar Mantar. Some of these identified individuals are accused of attempting to create violent situations and inciting the crowd during the protest. The police have stated that the roles of these 2000 suspects are currently under investigation.
