Moradabad: A mob was attacked by a Gusai mob in the Katghar police station area of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night for shutting down the DJ. The motorcycle of Daroga was also vandalized. A councilor husband was not spared even by the mob to save the nurse. He was also beaten with sticks and injured.
On receiving information, the additional police force somehow reached the police station and rescued the inspector and took him to the district hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case against 10 nominated and 20 unidentified in this case. Four accused have been arrested. After being produced in the court, all have been sent to jail.
Police teams are raiding potential targets in search of other absconding attackers. The case has been lodged by Sompal Singh, resident of Nand Colony located in Brass Basti Chowki area. In his complaint, he said that some people were protesting against the police shutting down the DJ on Sunday night. Meanwhile, the crowd arrived at the brass settlement post Incharge Pushpendra Singh, who came there. He was badly beaten with sticks and batons. I was also badly injured in saving. The entire incident has been captured in CCTV cameras. SP City Amit Kumar Anand said that four attackers have been arrested. Raids are being conducted in search of others.
