Nissan has Notably bolstered its presence in the Indian automotive market with the launch of its new compact SUV, the Nissan Tekton. Designed to offer a comprehensive package of style, advanced features, and solid performance, the Tekton has now proven its mettle in the most critical department: safety. In the latest round of Bharat NCAP crash tests, the Nissan Tekton has achieved a prestigious 5-star safety rating, marking it as one of the safest vehicles available for Indian families today.

Exceptional Performance in Crash Tests

The Nissan Tekton is built on the Renault-Nissan Alliance's RGMP architecture, a platform it shares with the upcoming Renault Duster. Due to the shared engineering and structural similarities between the two vehicles, the safety performance results of the Duster were utilized to evaluate the Tekton's safety standards. The SUV delivered outstanding results across both adult and child occupant protection categories, reflecting the strength of its underlying architecture.

Overall, the Tekton amassed 45 out of 49 points in child safety, ensuring a high level of security for younger passengers in various seating configurations.

Nissan has ensured that safety isn't just limited to structural strength but is also supported by advanced technology. All variants of the Nissan Tekton come standard with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, and seat belt pretensioners. The higher-spec variants are equipped with a 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). This suite includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring, providing an extra layer of active safety.
