He noted that the age of 20 in human life signifies a transition into a new phase of maturity and responsibility, where dreams are coupled with duties. Similarly, he described BRICS as being at its 'Coming of Age' moment, while to ensure the momentum of the group remains steady despite the annual change in presidency, PM Modi proposed the establishment of a 'BRICS Continuity and Implementation Mechanism'. This mechanism, functioning through a Troika, would ensure the consistent follow up of all initiatives and outcomes, providing institutional stability to the group's efforts.
Empowering the Global South
The Prime Minister made a passionate plea for the greater participation of the Global South in global decision making. He observed that while the Global South is often at the forefront of facing global crises, it remains at the back when it comes to the actual decision making processes.
