Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today give digital certificates to the winners of the Prime Minister's National Children's Award (PMRBP 2022) using block chain technology. PM Modi will interact with PMRBP winners through video conferencing at 12 noon. The Prime Minister's National Children's Award is given as a recognition to the children living in India. The Government of India honors children with exceptional abilities and outstanding achievements in the fields of innovation, sports, art and culture, social service, school sector and bravery under these awards.
This year 29 such people will be given this award. Each award winner is given a medal, Rs 1 lakh in cash and a certificate. These awards are given by the President in a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The winners of last year's Bal Puraskar, who could not get the certificate after conducting the ceremony in online mode due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will also receive a digital certificate this time. Let us tell you that last year 32 children were selected for this award.
In an official communication sent to all the secretaries on Thursday, Indevar Pandey, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) said that the award ceremony will be conducted online this year in view of the COVID-19 cases. The Prime Minister also interacts with these awardees every year. At the same time, the winners of PMRBP also participate in the Republic Day Parade every year.
However, due to Kovid-19, the award ceremony will not be held in Delhi this year. As part of National Girl Child Day and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on January 24, PM Modi will hold virtual interactions with the winners of PMRBP 2022. Union Minister Smriti Irani and Minister of State Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai will also be present on this occasion. Children will attend this program from the district headquarters along with their parents and the DM of their respective district.
Let us tell you that blockchain is an emerging technology that works on the principle of decentralization. This effectively means that the control is not in the hands of a central agency, but in the hands of a distributed network of nodes. The information in the blockchain is recorded with a precise timestamp with all the accurate data.
