The communication made a sensational claim that the Chief Minister had been infected with Polonium, a highly toxic radioactive substance. On top of that, the email threatened 16 schools in Mohali, leading to an immediate suspension of classes and evacuation of students. The sender linked the threat to recent police actions against individuals associated with the Khalistan referendum movement.
