The accident took place at Jahaj Ghar in Amritsar while filming a pivotal action scene. As per the choreography, Gursevak was positioned behind Ranveer Singh and was required to set a prop bomb before securing himself between the tires of a tractor. Ranveer Singh was then supposed to provide cover. Gursevak explained that while rehearsals went perfectly, a two-second delay occurred during the actual take. As he attempted to move, he and Ranveer collided with an impact he described as being hit by something moving at 70 km/h.

The force of the collision resulted in Gursevak falling into the tractor tires with Ranveer Singh landing on top of him. During the impact, Ranveer’s prop gun struck Gursevak’s stomach, while the barrel of Gursevak’s gun hit Ranveer’s elbow, while gursevak mentioned being in a state of semi-consciousness immediately after the hit, suffering from significant swelling in his abdominal area.
