The regulator alleged that these advertisements could be considered surrogate advertising for Vimal Pan Masala, a product that's currently prohibited in Maharashtra, while according to the FDA's notice, a preliminary investigation suggested that the advertisements promote the Vimal brand, which is primarily associated with pan masala. Under a restriction order issued on 13 July 2026, the manufacture, storage, transport, distribution, and sale of such pan masala have been banned for a period of 1 year. While Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff have already submitted their responses to these notices, a response from Shah Rukh Khan is still awaited.
