RG Kar Case Investigation and Judicial Commission
Suvendu Adhikari announced that under his administration, a special commission would be formed to conduct a thorough investigation into the RG Kar Medical College case. He clarified that the perpetrators of this case wouldn't be spared under any circumstances and would face the strictest possible punishment. Plus, a commission headed by retired judges will be constituted to investigate various corruption cases in the state. Adhikari emphasized that rigorous legal action would be taken against anyone involved in the embezzlement of government funds.
Building Sonar Bangla and Manifesto Promises
Before taking the oath as Chief Minister, Adhikari remembered the BJP workers who sacrificed their lives for the party, while he stated that he wouldn't let those sacrifices go in vain and would fulfill their dreams. He pledged to complete every guarantee mentioned in the party's 'Sankalp Patra' and the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi within a fixed timeframe. His goal is to re-establish West Bengal as 'Sonar Bangla' (Golden Bengal) with everyone's cooperation.
Amit Shah’s Address and Attack on Opposition
During the BJP legislative party meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also addressed the workers. Shah stated that in this election, the people of West Bengal had the opportunity to express their opinions in a fear-free environment. He targeted the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, saying that when Congress sees its defeat as certain, they begin to question the election process and EVMs, while shah took a dig at Mamata Banerjee, mentioning that there are 9 districts in the state where the Trinamool Congress (TMC) couldn't even open its account.
Amit Shah described this victory in Bengal as extremely significant for the entire Eastern India. Emphasizing the importance of self-discipline in politics, he stated that those who don't follow it can't succeed in politics.
