Farmer Protest - The protest ended, farmers' demands were accepted - there is still jam on the border
Farmer Protest: The protest of the farmers who marched to Parliament has ended. Farmers have started moving away from Noida Expressway. Farmers say that they have been assured that a high power committee will be formed, which will solve their problems. However, there is still heavy traffic jam on the route from Noida to Delhi. There are long queues of vehicles. After the farmers' strike ends, the first priority of Noida Police is to end the jam and clear the roads. The vehicles are still standing at Chilla Border, Kalindi Kunj Bridge, DND Flyover, Dalit Prerna Sthal, Atta Chowk and Rajnigandha Chowk. The passersby are looking very worried.

Let us tell you that farmer groups in Noida and Greater Noida were protesting demanding increased compensation and developed plots in exchange for their land acquired by the local development authorities from December 2023, but when the authorities did not appear serious about the demands of the farmers. So the patience of the farmers broke. Farmers announced a foot march to Parliament on Thursday. Various farmer organizations also came out in support of the foot march and marched towards Delhi.

Seeing the foot march of farmers, Delhi and Noida police became alert. Noida Police blocked all the roads leading to Delhi by erecting barriers, JCBs and trucks, so that farmers were not able to enter Delhi. On Thursday morning, when farmers set out on a foot march from Noida towards Delhi, traffic jams started on various roads. Seeing the barriers installed at various places, the farmers sat on strike. Due to the farmers' sit-in, long queues of vehicles passing through those roads were formed.

Till the end of the protest, heavy traffic was seen on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, DND Loop, Kalindi Kunj bridge, around Dalit Prerna Sthal, Atta Chowk and Rajnigandha Chowk in Noida. The situation of traffic jam was so severe that vehicles were standing at one place for hours. A similar situation was seen at Parichowk in Gater Noida. On the jam, Noida Police said that we had already issued traffic advisory regarding the routes and had requested the people to avoid passing through the routes through which the farmers will march.
