Rajasthan Politics: In the case of women MLAs accusing Speaker Vasudev Devnani of violating privacy in Rajasthan Assembly, Minister Jogaram Patel clarified that no place in the Assembly is private. He said, "Be it the Yes Side, No Side lobby, media gallery, visitor gallery or the inner part of the assembly, there is no place of privacy in any of these places." Patel stressed that the general public keeps coming and going in all these places.

Patel made this statement while addressing the media at the BJP office in the city on Tuesday. Rejecting the allegations of women MLAs, he said that the Assembly Speaker has already given clarification in this matter. "We have also said many times that these allegations have been made only for the sake of making allegations," Patel said.

Women MLAs' allegation: Violation of privacy with spy cameras

Congress MLA from Anupgarh Shimla Nayak and MLA from Bhopalgarh Geeta Barwad made serious allegations while talking to the media at the state Congress headquarters on Monday. Both the MLAs claim that apart from the 9 cameras already present in the assembly, two additional "spy cameras" have been installed through which the speaker and some ministers listen to their private conversations and keep an eye on their activities.

Shimla Nayak said, "If even a pen falls in the assembly, even its sound is recorded by these spy cameras. These cameras have access to the speaker's rest room, where the speaker along with BJP ministers and MLAs listen to our conversations and watch us." Both the MLAs called it a clear violation of their privacy.

The country is celebrating two Diwalis: Jogaram Patel

Amid this controversy, Jogaram Patel, referring to the achievements of the central government, said that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the country is celebrating two Diwalis today. He said, "The Modi government has created a new Diwali through tax reforms. During the UPA government, there was a complex system of tax and inspector raj, which has now been made easy, transparent and public welfare."

Patel further said that there are only two slabs left in GST now, which will result in lower inflation in the country and accelerate the growth rate. He also claimed that the Modi government has made goods useful in every sphere of life cheaper along with roti, kapda, makaan.

How will the dispute be resolved?

Amidst the serious allegations of women MLAs and the counter claims of BJP, this matter seems to be gaining momentum in Rajasthan politics. Speaker Vasudev Devnani has already responded to the allegations of violation of privacy in the assembly, but the fresh statements of Congress MLAs have fueled this controversy further. It will be interesting to see what further turn this matter takes in the coming days.
