Jharkhand News: An incident of brutality has come to the fore again from Lohardaga district of Jharkhand. Masked youths gang-raped a girl who had gone for a walk with her fiance in Kudu police station area under the district. On the complaint of the girl, an FIR has been registered against a dozen youths in Kudu police station. Police is trying to identify the accused youths. Medical examination of the girl has been done.

A 19-year-old girl was talking to her fiance near the farm in the village of Kolsimri in Kudu police station area, when a dozen masked people reached there. They thrashed her fiance badly and drove her away. Forcibly took the girl to a deserted place and raped her there. The girl made noise and somehow freed herself from their clutches and reached home. Later, along with his family members, he reached the police station and lodged an FIR.

The girl told the police that she could not see the youths, so it is difficult to identify them. On the statement of the girl, the police have started investigation by registering a case of gang rape on 5 to 7 youths. Medical checkup of the girl is being done. Police is conducting raids to arrest the accused.

Lohardaga embarrassed by two incidents in two days

A day before this incident, a 5-year-old girl was strangled to death after raping her in Ariya Adivasi Tola under Bagdu police station area of Lohardaga district. In this incident, the local people caught hold of the accused 19-year-old youth and thrashed him and then handed him over to the local police.

The leaders of the opposition have reacted strongly to these incidents. BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi has tweeted about the incident, "A gruesome incident of gang rape of a young woman has taken place in Lohardaga. Crime against women in Jharkhand is not taking the name of stopping. It seems that the criminals have lost their minds." The fear of law is almost gone in India. Criminals are roaming free and the head of the state is roaming around with blunders.
