Condoms are the most common method of contraception for men. However, scientists are now searching for the easiest and cheapest method of birth control for men. This research is being done by the University of Edinburgh, UK. It will be in the form of a contraceptive gel.The name of this gel is NES / T which is considered to be an important discovery in male contraception. It is expected that this method of men's birth control will reduce the burden of contraception on women.In research, scientists at the University of Edinburgh asked more than 100 men to use the NES / T gel. This gel works as a synthetic which slows down sperm levels via progestin hormone and increases sexual desire through testosterone. This gel has to be applied to men on their arms and shoulders, after which the skin will reduce the production of sperm in men by absorbing the hormones present in this gel.The men involved in the research applied this gel on their upper arms and shoulders every day. During the trial, the doctors monitored the sperm count of these men. The NES / T gel is similar to the gel that men with low testosterone apply to their thighs and torso.After this trial, it is expected that most of the men would prefer to opt for jail instead of condoms and mail pills. Dr. Baybak Ashrafi told 'The Telegraph', "People appear more satisfied after the use of prison."Dr. Babak Ashrafi said, 'However some men may find this method of contraception a bit cumbersome as it takes a little time to dry this gel. Apart from this, it is a new drug, so its consequences are yet to be fully understood in the long term. This is the reason why some people may hesitate to take it. 'There has been a lot of research in the last few years regarding birth control for men. In 2016, researchers at Wolverhampton University reported that they had developed a method to stop sperm swimming. Through this, small compounds will reduce its capacity by joining the sperm, so that women will not become pregnant.
