After all, how does the franchise exchange players through the trading window rule?

Before the auction in IPL, any franchise can trade one of its players in two ways. In this, either another franchise should show interest in buying that player to include him in their team, while either that franchise should be ready to sell that player. However, the IPL Governing Council reserves the final authority in this entire matter. At the same time, if a franchise wants to include a player from another team in its team, then the franchise to which that player is a part has the right to decide at what price it will release the player.

However, all these things also depend on the player and his consent is also very important because if he refuses, this trade cannot take place. Apart from this, if two franchises exchange players, then the players of both the teams can be exchanged through trade or swap. Let us tell you that all the franchises have to submit the list of their retained players for the upcoming season by 26th November. After this, Players Auction will be organized on 19th November.

Teams of these players have changed before the auction

Ahead of the IPL 2024 players auction, only three players have been officially exchanged by their franchises so far through the trade window. In this, Devdutt Padikkal, who was a part of Rajasthan Royals team till last season, has been included in their team by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 7 crore 50 lakh. Whereas Lucknow has handed Avesh Khan to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 10 crore in return. Apart from this, Romario Shepherd, a part of Lucknow Super Giants team, has been made a part of their team by Mumbai Indians for Rs 50 lakh.
