Bollywood | The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police on Thursday questioned Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi for over six hours in a case of extortion involving alleged thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar. A day earlier on Wednesday, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was questioned for about eight hours in the same case.

Last month, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing the money trail in the extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar, filed a chargesheet naming actor Jacqueline Fernandez as an accused. Later, the ED also questioned Nora Fatehi in the same case.

Jacqueline and Nora Fatehi not directly related

According to India Today report, Delhi Police has said that Nora Fatehi has no direct connection with Jacqueline in this case but was called for questioning with Pinky Irani who was tasked to introduce Jacqueline to Sukesh and its Crores of rupees were allegedly paid for this.

Special commissioner of EOW department Ravindra Yadav had said, since Pinky Irani is here, we want to interrogate both of them. There are some things that need to be clarified. There is no direct connection between Nora and Jacqueline regarding this matter. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has already questioned Fatehi.

Jacqueline Fernandez questioned for more than eight hours

According to the police, Jacqueline Fernandez was questioned for over eight hours on Wednesday and she cooperated during the investigation and may be called again for questioning. Chandrashekhar is currently in jail. He is accused of duping many people including influential people. It also includes Aditi Singh, wife of Shivinder Mohan Singh, former promoter of Fortis Healthcare.
