There are reports that BCCI has taken a big decision regarding organizing it on Indian grounds. The Board of Control for Cricket in India no longer wants to organize it in the domestic season. Neither in men's cricket nor in women's events. BCCI is actually not interested in organizing the Pink Ball Test.

According to the report, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah while talking to the journalists said that the Indian Board is no longer keen on the Pink Ball Test, this is because instead of lasting 4 or 5 days, it ends in 2 to 3 days.

This is the reason for BCCI's disillusionment with the pink ball test.

Jay Shah further said that every possible effort was made by BCCI to popularize the Pink Ball Test among the people. But till now all the tests played with pink ball ended in just 2-3 days. Whereas people like to watch test matches for 4 to 5 days, which they are used to. Shah said that the Pink Ball Test was last played in Australia, after which no country has organized it.

India's record in pink ball test

Team India has played 4 pink ball tests so far, out of which it has won 3 while it has faced defeat in one. India played the last Pink Ball Test against Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which ended in 3 days. Talking about the Indian women's cricket team, till now they had played only one Pink Ball Test against Australia in the year 2021. That test played in Queensland was a draw.

After this statement of BCCI Secretary, do not be surprised if it becomes a dream to see Team India playing with pink ball. Let us tell you that the Indian men's team is currently on the tour of South Africa, where it has to play a 2-Test series from 26th December. Both these tests will be played with red ball.
