BCCI's Contracted Players: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to give another big blow to veteran players like Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Sharma. After being out of the team, now both these players are sure to be discharged from the central contract. At the same time, Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill, who are performing brilliantly in limited overs, will be rewarded by the board. Both these players will get a place in the Central Contract of BCCI.

In the Apex Council meeting to be held on December 21, the BCCI will issue a new list of players with central contracts. Preparations are also being made to promote Hardik Pandya, who is going to take charge of the team in T20 format soon. Hardik Pandya will be promoted from C category to B category.

Apart from Rahane and Ishant Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha will be dropped from the central contract. Earlier this year, Saha was told that he would not be given a chance to join Team India again. Ishant Sharma and Rahane's return to Team India is also looking very difficult.

Kishan's luck will also shine

BCCI has divided the central contract into four categories. A+ category players are given Rs 7 crore annually. A category players get Rs 5 crore while B category players get Rs 3 crore annually. The players of C category are paid an annual fee of Rs 1 crore by the BCSI.

Since Suryakumar Yadav has now become an important part of the team in T20 and ODIs, it is certain that he will get promotion from C category to B category. On the other hand, Shubman Gill is an important part of Team India in ODIs and Tests. Shubman Gill will also be promoted from C category to B. BCCI can give place to Ishaan Kishan in C category.
