51 percent of the new UP MLAs are tainted / Compared to the year 2017, 15 percent more tainted won, crorepati MLAs also increased

More than half the MLAs are tainted in the 18th Vidhan Sabha, which is going to be constituted in the state. There is some kind of case registered against them. 366 MLAs who are crorepatis have also been elected. Association for Democratic Reform - UP Election Watch has analyzed the affidavits of all 403 MLAs elected on Sunday and released the figures.

According to the ADR data, out of 403 MLAs, 205 have mentioned criminal cases against them. In the 2017 elections, the number of such MLAs was 143. This time the accused of murder and also accused of attempt to murder have won in the assembly. Six MLAs have been booked for atrocities against women and one for rape. 111 out of 255 BJP MLAs and 71 out of 111 SP have criminal cases registered against them. Out of 12 MLAs of Apna Dal SK, 7 out of 8 of RLD, 4 out of 6 of Subhasp and Nishad Party, 2 of Jansatta Dal Loktantrik and both Congress MLAs have criminal cases registered against them. A case is also registered against the only MLA of BSP. The five MLAs who have been booked for murder include SP's Gunnaur MLA Ram Khiladi, Gosainganj MLA Abhay Singh and Chail MLA Pooja Pal, BJP's Gola Gokarnath MLA Arvind Giri and Balamau MLA Rampal Verma. A case of rape has been registered against Ramdular, who won the election from Duddhi of Sonbhadra on a BJP ticket.

9 out of 10 MLAs are crorepatis

This time out of every 10 MLAs, 9 are crorepatis. In the last assembly, 8 out of 10 MLAs were crorepatis. That is, this time out of 403 MLAs, 366 are crorepatis. Of these, 233 out of 255 BJP MLAs, 100 out of 111 SP MLAs, 9 out of 12 Apna Dal and 7 out of 8 RLD MLAs are crorepatis. All the MLAs of other parties are crorepatis.

SP's Anil has the least assets

Anil Kumar Anil Pradhan, who won from Chitrakoot from SP, has the least assets. Anil has declared his total assets to be Rs 36496. Sarwan Kumar Nishad, son of MLA Sanjay Nishad from Chauri Chaura seat of Gorakhpur, has declared his total assets as Rs 72996.

Top Five Crorepati MLAs

Among the top five crorepati candidates, BJP MLA Amit Agarwal from Meerut Cantt has total assets of more than 148 crores. Mohd won from Moradabad Rural seat from SP. Nasir's assets are 60 crores. Rakesh Pandey, elected from SP from Jalalpur assembly seat of Ambedkarnagar, has assets of 59 crores. The assets of Rani Pakshalika Singh, who became MLA on BJP ticket from Agra's Bah seat, are more than 58 crores and BJP's Mayankeshwar Singh, who became MLA from Amethi's Tiloi, has assets of more than 58 crores.

305 MLA degree holder

Of the MLAs who won this time, there are 305 degree holders and three diploma holders. 87 have given their educational qualification between VIII to Inter. 7 MLAs have declared themselves as literate only and one MLA has not disclosed his educational qualification.

7 more women MLAs than last election

This time the number of women MLAs is 7 more than last time. This time 47 women have become MLAs. In the last assembly, 40 women had won. The number of MLAs in the new assembly is 169 in the age group of 25 to 50 years. While the number of MLAs in the age group of 51 to 80 years is 232. There are also two candidates whose age is more than 80 years.
