Bengaluru   To save the 13-month-old alliance government, the Chief Minister can resign from the post of HD Kumaraswamy. It is believed that Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge can become the new chief minister in the coalition government to stop the political instability after the resignation of 12 legislators of JDS. On the other hand, the BJP termed the resignation of Congress-JDS MLAs as a Congress drama.Union minister Prahlad Joshi said, Congress is making this drama to make the greedy Siddaramaiah a chief minister. Meanwhile, the Congress has convened a meeting of the legislative party on July 9. Circular states that strict action will be taken against those who are not involved in this.

The news agency quoted Congress sources as saying that JDS National President HD Deve Gowda has suggested to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi that Mallikarjun Kharge can be made the chief minister to save the coalition government.

'JDS ready to support Kharge'

Following the resignation of Congress-JDS legislators, Devgowda talked to Sonia Gandhi on Saturday night and talked of supporting Kharge for keeping the BJP away from power. Sources said that Sonia Gandhi convened a meeting of the party's core committee in the night and considered Gowda's suggestions in it. In the meeting, it was decided to send Kharge to Karnataka so that the coalition government could be rescued in the state.

Union Minister Joshi said that this is an unholy alliance. Congress is doing this to remove Kumaraswamy from the post of Chief Minister. At the same time, Joshi, on the charge of having Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hand behind the resignation of legislators, said that this is wrong. The Congress party has no leader left.

MLAs resigns part of Operation Kamal - Siddaramaiah

Congress leader Siddaramaiah described the resignations of MLAs as BJP's move. Siddaramaiah said, "It is clear that behind all these, BJP is the same. This operation is part of lotus. There is nothing to worry about, everything is fine. There is no threat to the Karnataka government.

Among them all, Congress leader and state minister DK Shivkumar met JDS leader and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda at his residence. According to party sources, the political situation between the two leaders was discussed. At the same time, Congress workers protested outside the party office. The workers demand that Congress legislators withdraw their resignations. 

JDS MLA claims 14 resignations

On Saturday, the Congress had resigned from 8 of the JDS and three MLAs. Earlier Congress MLA Anand Singh had resigned on Monday. However, JDS rebel legislator H Vishwanath had claimed the resignation of 14 MLAs, including Anand Singh. JDS legislator HK Vishwanath had said, "So far 14 MLAs have resigned from the government. We have also met the governor. We have written the speaker to accept resignation.

He has asked it to decide on Tuesday. The coalition government did not fulfill the expectations of the people of Karnataka. "

If Speaker Ramesh Kumar accepts the resignation of all the legislators, then the Kumaraswamy government will come in a minority. Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy has returned from the US.Holiday on Sundays, there are pre-scheduled programs on Monday. So, we will see the case on Tuesday. Whether the government will fall or not will be decided in the Assembly itself.
