Jharkhand / Cruelty to BJP leader's daughter, first raped, then blindfolded, dead body hanging

A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Jharkhand where some poor people have crossed all limits of cruelty. A 16-year-old daughter of a local BJP leader was brutally murdered in Palamu district. First she was raped, then her eye was removed and finally the body was hanged from a tree to show suicide. The police have arrested the accused named Pradeep Kumar Singh.

The incident is being told on June 7 when the victim had gone out of the house at 10 am. When she did not return, the family members started searching on their behalf on Monday. After this, a missing report was filed in the Panki police station and the police got involved with the case. While the police were trying to trace the victim, they found her dead body hanging from a tree in Lalimati forest on Wednesday. In this regard, the father of the deceased girl has said that he has four daughters and one son. In this the killer killed an eldest daughter.

Police is investigating the matter and they also recovered a mobile phone from the spot. Pradeep was also arrested on the basis of that mobile phone. Panki station in-charge Ashok Kumar said that the family members of the victim had lodged a missing case related to the disappearance. The police was engaged in the investigation. The body has been recovered from the forest. Prima facie, it seems that after killing her, the killer has hanged her from a tree to give it the appearance of suicide. The post-mortem report is still awaited.

It has been asserted by the father that his daughter was gang-raped and later her eye was also beheaded. For now the police is investigating, while on the other hand the victim's father has himself lit his daughter on fire. The last rites were performed at the village crematorium.
