After losing the top-3 wickets for 25 runs, Manish Pandey and Riley Russo shared a half-century partnership for the fourth wicket. Both added 59 runs on 59 balls. Pathirana broke this partnership by dismissing Pandey.

Delhi got three shocks

Chasing the target of 168 runs, Delhi got a blow on the very first ball of the innings. The team lost three wickets in scoring 47 runs in 6 overs. Captain David Warner was out for zero, Phil Salt for 17 runs and Mitchell Marsh for 5 runs. Deepak Chahar gave both the blows to the team.

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja made an explosive partnership of 38 runs in the last over. Both faced 18 balls. Mitchell Marsh broke this partnership. He took the wicket of Jadeja.
