IPL 2021 / Delhi capitals captain Rishabh Pant wrote an emotional message after team lost second qualifier against KKR

IPL 2021 | Delhi Capitals' journey has come to an end with a loss in the second qualifier against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021. In a match full of ups and downs, Delhi's team made a strong comeback in the last two overs, but Rahul Tripathi gave the team victory by hitting a six on the 5th ball of the last over. With this defeat, captain Rishabh Pant's dream of making the team champions for the first time under his leadership was also shattered. After which he has shared an emotional post on his Twitter handle. Pant became very emotional even after the match.

Pant wrote on his Twitter, 'It was a heartbreaking ending, but nothing can be more proud for me than leading a team full of extraordinary warriors. We fought fiercely throughout the season and some days our performance was a bit weak but we gave our 100 percent. Pant was handling the responsibility of captaincy of Delhi Capitals for the first time. Delhi's performance under Pant's captaincy this season was amazing and the team made it to the playoffs while topping the points table.

In the first qualifier, Delhi team had to face defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings. The performance of the team's batsmen against KKR was very disappointing and none of the batsmen could score a half-century from the side. After this, Delhi's strong bowling attack in front of Kolkata's batsmen also did not play in the initial overs and the team had to wait till the 13th over for the first wicket. Ravichandran Ashwin had made the match exciting with two wickets in the last over too, but Rahul Tripathi managed to reach the finals to KKR.
