Attack in Prayagraj: In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a crude bomb was hurled near the house of the lawyer of Mafia Atiq Ahmed. The case is of Katra Gobar Gali. According to the information, the bomb was thrown with the aim of spreading panic. There is no information about any casualty in this incident. Colonelganj police has started investigating the matter. The Police Commissioner of Prayagraj said, this attack took place in the street in front of lawyer Dayashankar Mishra's house. Rumors were spread that Dayashankar Mishra was attacked. This information is false. Investigation is being done on the spot. Dayashankar Mishra said on the incident, 24-25 years old boy carried out this incident. This is an attempt to discourage me. I have been fighting the case for many years.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Shivkuti) Rajesh Kumar Yadav said that some youths had thrown a bomb due to mutual enmity in Gobar Gali of Katra under Colonelganj police station area, which coincidentally exploded in front of Atiq Ahmed's lawyer Dayashankar Mishra's house. He told that there was no casualty in this incident.

He said, according to the local people, a youth named Harshit Sonkar had some dispute with Raunak, Akash Singh and Chhote over money and because of this Sonkar chased Raunak, Akash and Chhote and threw a crude bomb at them.

Yadav told that by chance the bomb fell in front of lawyer Dayashankar Mishra's house. There has been no casualty in the incident.

He told that Sonkar escaped from there by throwing the bomb. An FIR is being registered in this regard and the accused will be arrested soon. It is noteworthy that Mishra was the lawyer of Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf in the Umesh Pal kidnapping case. Atiq Ahmed and two others were sentenced to life imprisonment in this case, while seven others including Ashraf were acquitted for lack of evidence.

Significantly, on Saturday night, Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, who came to Calvin Hospital in police custody, were shot dead by three youths. Since then the situation in the entire city is sensitive.
