First innings: India's score 358

The Indian team scored 358 runs while batting first. Sai Sudarshan scored 61, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 58 and Rishabh Pant scored 54 runs. Shardul Thakur contributed 41 runs. For England, captain Ben Stokes took five wickets, while Jofra Archer took three wickets.

England's strong batting

England scored a huge score of 669 runs in the first innings. Jack Crowley (84) and Ben Duckett (94) shared a 166-run partnership for the first wicket. After this, Joe Root (150) and Ben Stokes (141) played centuries to give England a lead of 311 runs. Brydon Carse contributed 47 runs.

India's comeback in the second innings

India's second innings got off to a bad start. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudarshan were out on zero. After this, KL Rahul (90) and captain Shubman Gill (103) took charge of the team by sharing 188 runs. At the end of the innings, Ravindra Jadeja (101*) and Washington Sundar (107*) scored unbeaten centuries to take India to a draw.

Jadeja's fifth Test century

Ravindra Jadeja batted brilliantly and scored the fifth century of his Test career. He became the first Indian batsman to score two centuries while batting at number-6 or below in England. His innings rescued India from a difficult situation.
