News Helpline . Mumbai | Watching movies on a big screen sets a different mood. But amid the coronavirus pandemic life has become upside down. Corona brought the whole world at a grinding halt and the entertainment industry suffered the maximum out of it.

Cinema halls were closed which eventually led to the growth of OTT Platforms. As a result, all new movies are now directly releasing over the OTT Platforms. However the recent update has taken place, Film Industry has appealed to the Government of India for the reopening Cinemas.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on the same. He took to his Instagram handle and stated that as the theatres are out of business, many jobs are at stake. Adding to it he posted a letter affirming the loss the Cinema Exhibition Industry has faced in 6 months of lockdown.

Taran on his Instagram wrote, “Dreams come to life at movies on the big screen... There are millions behind the screen who make that happen... Jobs are at stake... Can’t wait for cinemas to reopen. #UnlockCinemaSaveJobs”

The pandemic is still on and a large population is still vulnerable. In such a situation will the public be open to visiting the cinema halls once again till a vaccine arrives for Covid-19? It’s a big question mark because ultimately it’s a matter of life and death.
