The Indian cricket team is considered to be the best team in the world in today's time, the biggest reason behind which is that the bench strength of Team India is very strong. India has plenty of players for every single place. There is also such a weakness in Team India, which Team India cannot hide even by hiding it. That weakness is that of a fast bowling all-rounder in the team. Team India has been missing a fast bowling all-rounder for a long time.

Gambhir slams Indian BCCI

On which now former opener Gautam Gambhir lashed out at the Indian BCCI and said that Team India should now stop looking for all-rounders. India has tried many players in the last three years as an all-rounder in limited overs and Test cricket with Hardik Pandya battling with injuries, but with no success. This is the reason why Gambhir wants to work with what you have.

Gautam Gambhir's BCCI bluntly

Gautam Gambhir told BCCI in clear words, 'Whatever you do not have, then you should stop going after it. You should go ahead with this. Don't try to make what you can't make. This is the root of all the problem. We always talk that we don't have an all-rounder after Kapil Dev. Gambhir feels that the time has come for the BCCI to accept this and find ways to prepare the youth at the domestic and India-A level.

All-rounder's search will be completed from here

Gautam Gambhir said, I have always believed that international cricket is not about preparing someone, but about performing. Grooming is done in Domestic and India A level. When you represent your country, you should be ready to go there and perform directly. So go ahead and try to develop people in Ranji Trophy and once they are ready, take them to international cricket and stick with them. Don't change them too quickly. We have seen that many people like Vijay Shankar, Shivam Dubey and now Venkatesh Iyer were not able to give many chances.

India weak in all-rounder's history

After Kapil Dev, Irfan Pathan played an important role in the team for a long time as a fast bowler all-rounder. After him, Hardik Pandya took up this responsibility, although he has not been able to bowl due to a back injury three years ago. Since then, the team kept looking for it in many players but no good option came to the fore.

Gautam Gambhir was seen on Venkatesh Iyer

Venkatesh Iyer was selected as an all-rounder for the tour of South Africa. He was included in the ODI series as an all-rounder. But now Iyer has not been included in the team for the ODI series against West Indies starting on 6 February. Gambhir also questioned this decision and said, 'Once a player is selected, he has to be given maximum chances'.
