LSG vs PBKS: In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Punjab Kings won the thrilling league stage match by 2 wickets. Batting first after losing the toss at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, LSG scored 160 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, PBKS achieved the target in 19.3 overs with the loss of 8 wickets.

2 wickets for Yudhveer

IPL debutant Yudhveer Singh Charak got Atharva Tayde caught out in the very first over. Yudhveer then bowled Prabhsimran Singh in the next over. Matthew Short was caught out on the last ball of the powerplay. Harpreet Bhatia became the victim of Krunal Pandya by playing a struggling inning of 22 runs.

Punjab lost 3 wickets in powerplay

Chasing the target of 160 runs, Punjab got a shock in the very first over. Atharva Tayde is caught out. Prabhsimran Singh in the third over and Matthew Short in the sixth over also returned to the pavilion. The team scored 45 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 6 overs.

Third: The last ball of the sixth over, Krishnappa Gautam bowled a good length on the middle stump. Mathew is caught at short mid-off. He scored 34 runs off 22 balls.

Fourth: The last ball of the 11th over, Krunal Pandya bowled a fuller length on the leg stump. Harpreet Bhatia flicks it but is caught at long leg. He scored 22 runs in 22 balls.

Fifth: The third ball of the 15th over, Ravi Bishnoi bowled a good length on the off stump. Sam Karan was caught out at long off.

Sixth: Mark Wood bowled the fifth ball of the 16th over to fuller length. Jitesh Sharma drives but falls to a diving catch by KL Rahul at mid-off. Jitesh scored 2 runs.

Sam Karan got 3 wickets

Captain KL Rahul from Lucknow played an inning of 74 runs on 56 balls. Rahul scored 8 fours and a six in his innings. Sam Karan took three wickets, while Kagiso Rabada got 2 wickets. Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar and Sikandar Raza got one wicket each.

Did not lose wicket in powerplay

Electing to bat after losing the toss, Lucknow got off to a brisk start by KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers. Both scored 49 runs without loss in 6 overs for the team. Meyers got out in the 8th over after scoring 29 runs. Both added 53 runs for the first wicket.

Captain Rahul's Fifty in 40 balls

Lucknow skipper KL Rahul made a brisk start in the powerplay. Then after the fall of the wickets of Meyers and Hooda, the innings went ahead with Krunal Pandya. He took the team's score to 100 in the 13th over and completed his fifty in 40 balls. He fell victim to Arshdeep Singh in the 19th over after scoring 74 runs.

This is Rahul's first half century in this IPL season. With this innings, he has also completed 4000 IPL runs.

No one else survives from lucknow

In the rest of the batsmen of Lucknow, Kyle Mayers scored 29, Deepak Hooda 2, Krunal Pandya 18, Marcus Stoinis scored 15 runs. Krishnappa Gautam and Nicholas Pooran could not open their account. Ayush Badoni 5 and Ravi Bishnoi remained not out on the score of 3 runs.

Third: Kagiso Rabada bowled a bouncer in the second ball of the 15th over. Krunal Pandya played a pull shot but was caught by Shah Rukh Khan at deep-mid wicket. Krunal scored 18 runs off 17 balls.

Fourth: The third ball of the 15th over, Kagiso Rabada bowled a short pitch. Nicholas Pooran was caught out at deep mid-wicket. He could not even open his account.

Fifth: The fifth ball of the 18th over, Sam Karan threw a short pitch on the leg stump. Marcus Stoinis is caught behind the wicket. He scored 15 runs.
