In a thrilling encounter played at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday night, India successfully chased down the target of 172 runs in 18.5 overs, losing 4 wickets. Brilliant batting performances by Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma guided India to a 6-wicket victory.

Pakistan’s innings: Sahibzada Farhan’s half-century
Losing the toss and batting first, Pakistan posted 171/5 in 20 overs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan played a fine half-century knock, scoring 58 runs off 45 balls with 3 sixes and 5 fours. Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz contributed 21 runs each, while Faheem Ashraf remained unbeaten on 20 runs off just 8 balls with 2 sixes and a four. Captain Salman Agha returned unbeaten with 17 runs from 13 balls.

Tilak Varma seals the win
Towards the end, Tilak Varma finished the chase in style, smashing a six and a four off Shaheen Afridi in the 19th over. He remained unbeaten on 30 off 19 balls. India scored 174/4 in 18.5 overs to claim the match.

The opening stand between Abhishek and Gill made the run chase much easier for India. Additionally, Shivam Dube’s effective bowling restricted Pakistan from reaching a bigger total. Finally, Tilak Varma’s aggressive batting in the death overs ensured an early finish and secured victory for India.
