ISRO News: There can be many reasons for remembering the year 2023. But one of the most important events that happened this year was the launch of Chandrayaan 3. For this, ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) i.e. Indian Space Research was greatly appreciated. Now at the end of the year ISRO has made another important announcement.

ISRO Chairman Shridhar Somnath has said that India will launch 50 satellites in the next five years. Geo-intelligence will be collected through these satellites. In simple language, these satellites will help India in gathering intelligence information.

Satellite: There is a need to increase it 10 times

According to ISRO chief, satellites will be placed in different orbits. With its help, the activities and pictures of the army within a radius of thousands of kilometers can be seen. S Somnath was participating in the Techfest of IIT Bombay. Techfest is a science and technology event organized every year by IIT Bombay.

ISRO Chairman said that India's current satellite fleet is not enough to emerge as a strong country. ISRO chief said that there is a need to increase the number of satellites by ten times so that the data can be studied with the help of artificial intelligence. Also, regarding the spacecraft, ISRO chief said that it is capable of gathering information about neighboring countries also.

Currently fleet of 54 satellites

ISRO has already found out what kind of satellites we need in the next five years. The effort of Indian space research in the next five years will be to establish them one by one. S. Somnath said that if India launches satellites on such a large scale, the country can reduce many of its threats.

India currently has a fleet of 54 satellites. Somnath said that it should be at least ten times. In this way, ISRO chief said that India needs to prepare a fleet of about 550 satellites. Only then will India be able to monitor itself properly.

ISRO Chief participated in the program of IIT Bombay

Addressing the 'TechFest', the annual science and technology event of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, Somnath said enhancing the capability of satellites in terms of change detection, artificial intelligence-related and data-driven efforts for data analysis. It is important. He said that to realize India's aspiration of becoming a strong nation, the current size of its satellite fleet is not sufficient and it should be "ten times of today's capacity".

Spacecraft capable of keeping an eye on the country's borders and neighboring areas

He said that the spacecraft are capable of keeping an eye on the country's borders and neighboring areas. Somnath said, “All this can be seen from satellites. We are launching satellites to handle this, but now there is a different way of thinking and we need to look at it in a more critical way because the strength of (any) nation is its ability to understand what happens around it. Used to be.''

"We have assembled 50 satellites to finalize them and send them to India to support this special geo-intelligence collection over the next five years," the ISRO chief said. Is going.'' Somnath said that if India can launch satellites at this level then the threats facing the country can be reduced in a better way. (input language)
