Now after Kohli, KL Rahul has created history. He has become the second Indian captain to win an ODI series on South African soil. Team India has won the ODI series on African soil after four years. Team India played its first ODI series in South Africa in the year 1992/93.

Bowlers showed their strength

Sanju Samson scored a century

The Indian team did not have a good start in the third ODI against South Africa. When young opener Sai Sudarshan was out after scoring just 10 runs. After this Rajat Patidar was also able to score 22 runs. India had lost only 101 runs for three wickets. Captain KL Rahul also could not play a big innings and could score only 21 runs. But after this Sanju Samson and Tilak Verma batted excellently. Both of them played according to the situation and brought India out of trouble. Both of them scored runs with restraint by not playing any risky shots. Samson, who usually plays big shots, displayed immense composure in the beginning and took one and two runs to take the pace forward. Once he settled on the crease, he played in T20 style. Samson completed his half-century on 66 balls. At the other end, Tilak was seen struggling to score runs, but later he batted well.

Sanju Samson scored 108 runs in 114 balls while Tilak Verma scored 52 runs in 77 balls, which is his first ODI half-century. Both added 116 runs for the fourth wicket. In the death overs, Rinku Singh, as per his reputation, scored explosive runs and added 38 runs in 27 balls. However, South Africa did not allow India to cross 300 runs by taking three wickets in quick succession. It is because of these players that the Indian team was successful in making a big score. For South Africa, Wuran Hendricks took the maximum of three wickets.
