Through this, all the players of the Indian team paid tribute to Lata Mangeshkar. Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away on Sunday at the age of 92. He was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on January 8 after suffering from Kovid-19 and pneumonia. However, after recovering from Covid, the singer's condition deteriorated on Saturday and she was put on ventilator support.This information was given by Rajiv Shukla, Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. He had told, "Narendra Modi will wear a black band in the first ODI against West Indies at the stadium to condole the death of Indian player Lata Mangeshkar. The national flag will be half-masted."
A two-day national mourning will be observed in the memory of Lata Mangeshkar. The national flag will also remain at half-mast for two days as a mark of respect.
