Through this, all the players of the Indian team paid tribute to Lata Mangeshkar. Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away on Sunday at the age of 92. He was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on January 8 after suffering from Kovid-19 and pneumonia. However, after recovering from Covid, the singer's condition deteriorated on Saturday and she was put on ventilator support.

This information was given by Rajiv Shukla, Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. He had told, "Narendra Modi will wear a black band in the first ODI against West Indies at the stadium to condole the death of Indian player Lata Mangeshkar. The national flag will be half-masted."

A two-day national mourning will be observed in the memory of Lata Mangeshkar. The national flag will also remain at half-mast for two days as a mark of respect. Lata ji's last rites will be performed with state honours.

Dr Pratat Samdani, who is treating Lata Mangeshkar at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, said, "It is with great sadness that we inform that Lata Mangeshkar passed away at 8:12 am. After recovering from Corona, she She was hospitalized for 28 days. After that many parts of her body stopped working, due to which she died.

Lata Mangeshkar was an Indian playback singer and occasional musician and was known as the "Nightingale of India" for her melodious voice. Born on September 28, 1929, Lata started her career in the year 1942 at the age of 13. In a career spanning over seven decades, he recorded songs for over a thousand Hindi films. He sang songs in more than thirty-six Indian languages ​​and foreign languages.

In 2001, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour. Latha is the second singer after MS Subbulakshmi to receive this honour. He also won the National Film Award thrice in his career. Some of his most popular songs are 'Ae Mere Watan Ke Logan', 'Babul Pyare', Lag Ja Gale Se Phir. Mangeshkar has four younger siblings – Asha Bhosle, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Mangeshkar.
