IPL 2022 | Punjab Kings fielder Jonny Bairstow hit a throw from the boundary line, forcing Lucknow Super Giants batsman Deepak Hooda to go to the pavilion. Bairstow is known for his wicketkeeping, but the precise and direct-hitting throw he threw made for a moment that he was a flamboyant fielder. At the same time, Deepak Hooda got a little lethargic as he was run out at the bowler's end.

The 14th over of the Lucknow Super Giants innings was in progress. Krunal Pandya was batting in this over of Arshdeep Singh. He played the third ball of this over at deep square leg, where it was easily two runs, but Deepak Hooda did not show the pace and Jonny Bairstow collected the ball well and bowled it fast at the bowler's end. Bairstow's throw was so accurate that the ball fell near the stumps and went straight to the stumps.

Due to this stormy throw to Bairstow, Deepak Hooda was left out of the crease and the third umpire without delay, seeing the footage beforehand, declared him out. If Deepak Hooda had shown even a little bit of speed, he could have easily completed the second run, as it was easy for him to get out early and come back, but a little slack was enough to get his job done. He scored 34 runs in 28 balls with the help of one four and two sixes.
