Sheikh Hasina expressed gratitude / Letter written to PM Modi to save Bangladeshis trapped in Ukraine, said this

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping to rescue Bangladeshi citizens trapped in Ukraine. By writing a letter, he reiterated his commitment to maintain mutual cooperation, citing the relationship between the two countries.

Hasina wrote this letter on March 15. It said that 'I extend my heartfelt thanks to you and your government for your wholehearted help in rescuing and rescuing some Bangladeshi nationals along with Indians stranded in Sumi, Ukraine. This help reflects the unique and enduring relationship between the two countries. Hasina wrote in the letter that I am confident that both Bangladesh and India will always stand by each other and work together to realize the collective aspirations of the people of both countries. I wish you good health and a very Happy Holi.

Hasina also referred to PM Modi's visit to Bangladesh last year to mark the birth centenary of her country's first Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He wrote that over the years our bilateral ties have been further strengthened through meaningful engagement at all levels.

20 thousand were evacuated under 'Operation Ganga'

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh had earlier thanked PM Modi for the evacuation of Bangladeshi citizens under Operation Ganga on 9 March. 'Operation Ganga' is being run to rescue Indians trapped in Ukraine. Under this, more than 20,000 Indians and citizens of neighboring and other countries have been brought to India by special flights.

15-20 Indians still trapped

In war-torn Ukraine, 15-20 Indians are still stuck in Ukraine. They want to leave from there. In the information given by the government, it has been said that Operation Ganga is not over yet. The government has said that some Indians trapped in the war zone are still waiting for safe evacuation. Preparations are being made to remove them.
